Good News: We will be bringing you a daily round-up of good news, exclusively SugarQuoted for our friends at #ForSingapore
Stay tuned for these (almost) daily updates!
Jun pens this lovely letter to all of us to commemorate the last day of her internship. Aw.
As cliche as it may sound, time really does fly when you’re having fun. I remember setting foot into the SugarQuoted office eager to do what I love most – write.
Not only was I able to do the editorial side of things, I was also able to dabble in a little bit of social media growth for accounts on Facebook and Instagram. Being a self-professed social media junkie, I thought, “this is totally gonna be my cup of tea.”
It’s tea alright, but what I’ve learnt is that you have to bring your own milk, sugar, and biscuits. Not literally of course, (our fridge is filled with chocolates and beers and ciders by the way, thanks to some of our amazing clients.) What I mean is, it’s not enought just to “like” social media, you gotta understand clients, the target audience, and on top of all that, get to this ‘understanding’, asap.
The most valuable lesson I learnt here? “Time is of the essence.” I didn’t have that heavy a work load, but the fact that I had work pouring in constantly meant that I had to be on my toes all the time. There’s only so many hours I have while at work and I had to make sure that I’m able to clear my work pile at the end of the day. What I can definitely say is that the industry isn’t cut out for you if you’re overwhelmed very easily. Of course, I did have times where I was reminded “up my game”, and I hope I did. :)
Okay, I’m about to get emotional… so just wanna wrap up and say – as cliche as it may sound – time really does fly when you’re having fun. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given during this internship, and I will never forget my experiences, and friendships made here.
Stay awesome and all the best, SugarQuoted Collective! ^_^
Contrary to popular inference, Hump day has nothing to do with sex.
It’s Father’s Day today and the SugarQuoted Collective decided to pay a little tribute to our Dads!
Gabriel: Hey Dad, what’s one thing you’ve taught me wrongly?
Gab’s Dad: *ponders for awhile* I don’t think i ever taught you anything wrongly but if you must have an answer.. I guess it would be teaching you how to speak.
Nabila: What’s your proudest moment as a father?
Nab’s Dad: My first proudest moment has got to be when I first laid my eyes on you. You were a perfectly beautiful baby. Especially since you’re my first child. The joy of being a father was indescribable.
Jun: What’s your proudest moment as my father?
“When you graduated from uni with a Bachelor’s Degree lor.”
Amanda: What qualities did you pass on to me?
Amanda’s Dad: No leh. No lah, we have different styles.
“My dad taught me many things some good, some questionable. The one thing he did get wrong though was keeping fishes. We had a pet project when I was real young and we kind of messed up and killed all the fishes. My dad still hasn’t been trusted around animals ever since.” – Mitchell
And there you have it, little anecdotes from our Dads! We hope y’guys enjoyed this post. From The SugarQuoted Collective, here’s wishing all Dads out there a very Happy Father’s Day!
